Overnight Dow rose 53-points while Nasdaq and S&P 500 ended lower, pulled down by Apple, Amazon and other Big Tech companies as fall in weekly jobless claims data fed investor concerns about a recent inflation spike.

HSI

Hong Kong shares ended higher on Thursday, with banks and property firms leading gains, buoyed by hopes for more government policy support after the economic growth in the second quarter missed expectations.

WTI Crude

Oil prices fell on Thursday, extending losses as investors braced for increased supplies after a compromise deal between leading OPEC producers and as U.S. fuel stocks rose, raising concerns over demand in the world's largest consumer.
