HSI Futures

All three major Wall Street indexes ended with record closes on Wednesday as gains in consumer discretionary and energy stocks offset losses in Apple.

Hong Kong stocks dipped on Wednesday, as Asian equities slipped from 10-year highs despite Wall Street hitting record highs overnight. A barrage of China data are to expected today with industrial production and retails sales data due today.

FKLI tested its resistance at 1790.5 and retraced thereafter amid profit taking activities as expected. Profit taking might continue today with support seen at 1777. Failure to breach above 1785 today will likely see more selling activities.

FCPO initiated with a strong boost to 2864 on Wednesday's opening which then retraced to 2828 before a strong buying interest came in towards the close. Dalian and soybean oil are positive today while Ringgit stays firm at RM4.19 against the greenback.
