HSI Futures

Two major U.S. stock indexes set fresh record closing highs on Thursday on investors' optimism about big banks' second-quarter earnings, while European shares also rose and oil prices rebounded from the previous session's bruising losses.

Hong Kong shares finished up on Thursday, following other Asian bourses higher, on hopes the Bank of England will cut rates to ward off a possible recession that could impact some Hong Kong companies. Market will be dominated by release of China's economic data today, due for 10 am local time.

Plan A : Above 21714, do nothing
Plan B : Below 21372, do nothing
Plan C : Attempt buying if market corrects and holds firm above 21430
Plan D : Cut below 21372
Plan E : Consider selling if market gap up but fails to breach above 21714
Plan F : Cut above 21800

Market disappointed buyers once again when it fails to break above 1663 despite strong regional markets. Market look likely to have another chance today but market will need to break and stay above 1663 convincingly if it were to give confidence to the buyers. Otherwise, market might consolidate again.

Plan A : Hold on to buying as long as market stays firm above 1655.5
Plan B : Cut below 1653
Plan C : Consider intraday selling if market fails to breach above 1663
Plan D : Cut above 1668


FCPO

FCPO surged up to 2272 towards the second session but the price remain unsustainable, falling back to 2246 on Thursday. Dalian stays positively strong while soybean oil is slightly up. Ringgit hovers around RM3.93 to RM3.95 against the greenback.

Plan A : Buy only if market could support above 2245. Targets are 2258, 2272, 2283 and 2295.
Plan B : Sell if market rebounded and resisted around 2258. Targets are 2245, 2236 and 2225. Apply for first session only.
Plan C : Sell if market rebounded and resisted around 2283/2295. Targets are 2260 and 2252.
Plan D : Above 2295, no fresh position.
Plan E : Below 2245, no fresh position.
