Wall Street closed slightly lower on Monday, with gains in materials and banks countered by declines in consumer staples shares, as investors girded for the start of an earnings season expected to be gloomy.
Hong Kong stocks edged up on Monday, aided by a bullish mainland market after China's March inflation came in lower than forecast and fanned optimism Beijing will keep monetary policy loose.

Market were caught in a consolidation range once again after rebounding from morning low and surged high towards closing. Sellers were being caught once again although there seems to be a break down in the morning. FKLI look likely to open firmer to little change as it is still unsure which direction it is heading to next.

FCPO rebounded to highest 2699 on Monday and retraced back to 2660's for the close. Market literally resume with the selling trend yesterday. Dalian and soybean oil are slightly weak while Ringgit remain strong vs U.S. Dollar at RM3.88.
