HSI Futures

The Dow Jones industrial average and the S&P 500 index closed higher on Monday as a spike in energy shares offset sharp declines in large-cap technology names, which dragged down the Nasdaq.

Hong Kong shares ended Monday roughly flat, ignoring a rally in mainland markets and on the back of rising selling pressure after the benchmark Hang Seng Index rose 10 percent over the past three weeks.

Market surged to an intraday high of 1710 before tumbling in the afternoon and settled at 1696 for the day. Market could consolidate from here with supports seen at 1688-1690.

Plan A : Attempt buying if market corrects and holds firm above 1688
Plan B : Cut below 1682
Plan C : Consider intraday sell if market surges but fails to break above 1712

FCPO

FCPO opened gap-up on Monday morning, followed by a tumble in the afternoon after failing to test above 2543. Dalian and overnight soybean oil are slightly up while Ringgit weaken against U.S. Dollar at RM4.10.

Plan A : Buy when market retraced and supported above 2529. Targets are 2549, 2559 and 2562.
