Wall Street was headed for a second straight session of declines on Tuesday as an escalation in U.S.-China tensions tempered expectations from the high-level trade talks this week, while Boeing was hit by fresh concerns over its grounded 737 MAX jets.

E-Mini S&P 500

U.S. stocks ended down sharply on Tuesday as news that the United States was imposing visa restrictions on Chinese officials overshadowed comments by Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell that pointed to openness to further rate cuts. The S&P 500 lost 45.8 points or 1.56% yesterday.

E-Mini Nasdaq

U.S. stocks briefly cut losses in choppy trading on Tuesday after Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell suggested openness to further rate cuts and said the time has come to allow the Fed's asset holdings to begin to expand again. Nasdaq lost 132 points or 1.67% yesterday.

HSI

Hong Kong stocks closed higher on Tuesday, tracking gains in mainland China on stimulus hopes, though uncertainties around Sino-U.S. trade talks and worries over protests in the island city curbed gains. The Hang Seng index rose 0.3%, to 25,893.40.

WTI Crude
